The Frontiers of Cooperative AI
Since August 2022, I have been commissioned by the University of Oxford to develop a novel lecture series on Cooperative AI (12 hours). Cooperative AI denotes the quest to develop AI that can help AI, humans, and institutes work together for the benefit of humanity. My lecture course is the world’s first on Cooperative AI that focuses on human-AI interaction and cooperative mechanism design. In it, I complement a cross-cutting exploration of AI methods and applications with a firm grounding in the realities of public policy, as well as related research in sociology and experimental psychology. As a paid course developer and lecturer at the University of Oxford, delivered the lecture course to graduate (PhD) students participating in the University’s flagship doctoral training program AIMS CDT in March 2023.
